Behind the Scenes: The Making of New Blue Water Bentos
As soon as we shipped out our successful Kickstarter rewards containing a full assortment of our innovative Blue Water Bentos, people started asking us to add bigger and smaller sizes to the line-up. We took that as a sign of a swelling tide of interest in our new ocean-friendly line!
So now we're introducing two new Seal Cups: the Seal Cup Mini and the Seal Cup XL!
The Seal Cup Mini and XL's lid designs are inspired by our love of the oceans.
The Seal Cup Mini's five-petalled flower mimics the sand dollar's star-shaped grooves.
The Seal Cup XL is inspired by tide pool rock formations that teem with life on the California coast.
We're also adding another organic cotton lunch bag screen-printed by a local green business, Goza Gear. The new lunch bag features a swimming sea turtle. Our founder, Sandra Harris, helped introduce this little sea turtle to the Pacific Ocean safely after it hatched from an egg on the beaches of Sayulita, Mexico.
We hope you love these new items just as much as we do. The containers are plastic-free, using long-lasting, food-safe silicone lids. The lunch tote is made from organic cotton canvas and built for easy washing. Did you know a family can prevent more than 3000 pieces of trash from entering our landfills and the environment every year by packing lunch with reusable containers like our Blue Water Bento collection?
Join us in changing the world lunch by lunch. You can find these new items in our shop now, so dive in and check them out!
